gDiapers

I never thought I'd write a post about diapers, but I had to share this with someone.

gDiapers is a diaper company created in the US- a couple who was about to have a baby learned that a regular diaper can take up to 500 years to biodegrade and that conventional diapers are the third largest contributors to landfills and yet only five percent of the world uses them. They figured regular diapers weren't the way to go and cloth diapers used up way too much water, so they created a solution.

gPants
gDiaper is this adorable diaper that is made of cloth and has a design that looks like a regular diaper. The difference is that there are liners that kind of resemble pads that you insert into the diaper. The pads are 100% biodegradable and you can even put them in your compost bins. The diapers (called gPants) come in various colours.

Each pair of gPants costs about 20$ while a box of liners costs about 17$. Considering the number of diapers that families go through a week I feel like this is a fantastic and adorable alternative that while is a bit pricy, is very ecofriendly.
